It’s been just over a year since my last post and I’m ready for another adventure. The trip that I had to postpone at this time last year has been in the planning stages over the past fewer months and our departure date is quickly approaching on June 4. My sons, Matt and Chris, and I fly to Geneva, Switzerland and then drive to Italy via Wassen and Lake Como. After that we’ll have two weeks in Tuscany.
We’re staying near Greve in Chianti at an agriturismo.
Over the next few days there’s lot of last-minute things to do, but this weekend we have another important family event. Matt’s graduating from high school. It’s exciting but bittersweet when the youngest is getting ready to leave home. The trips I’ve taken with him and Chris with lots of one on one time make the transition easier, but it’s still hard letting go. To read more about my trip with Matt start here. When we return from Europe I’ll be looking back and writing about the trip I took with Chris to New Zealand in 2008. Have a great weekend and watch for more trip details before we leave on the 4th. Ciao!
